Must Make These

Here are a few ideas I saw on Instagram this week:

Make this basket by Damask Love using a 12" x 12" piece of DSP scored every 4" to form a grid of nine 4" x 4" squares. Score the upper right and left corners and the lower corners vertically every inch up to the first score line. Cut along each 1" score line up to the first score line. Gather each of the ends and adhere ends to form a curved surface. Cut the top and bottom center square into a triangle and adhere each curved segment on both sides to the center triangle.

Here's my version with a gift bag to match the basket:

I made a bunch of these bunnies using the largest size of the
Small Classic Ovals set scored at 2" along the longer side
for the body of the rabbit. I made a template for the ears and feet.

Love these envelope punch board baskets, too. The first one uses a 6" x 6" piece of card stock punch and scored every 1.5":

YouTube video tutorial HERE.

This basket uses an 8" x 8" square of cardstock that is punch and scored every 2".

I saw this adorable onesie card on Instagram:

To get the onesie shape Becky gave these instructions:
  1. Start with a 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" piece of cardstock.
  1. Fold in half like you would for a regular card.
  1. Sleeves:  Measure on the sides of the card where the sleeves will go, from the top corners down to 1-1/2".  Make a tiny pencil mark.  From that pencil mark measure 3/4" in towards the chest.  Cut on that 3/4" line.
  1. Sides: From that cut 3/4" line, use a ruler to draw a line diagonally to the bottom corners of the card and then cut on that line.
  1. You now have a onesie with sleeves.  Use a corner rounder on the sleeves to round and soften the sharp corners.
  1. Legs: I used a 1-1/2" circle punch to add the leg holes.  After you make the punch, use your scissors to slightly straighten the crotch area so it look more like how the leg holes should look.
  1. Neck:  I used the same hole punch to create the neck opening.
